IntroductionIPENZ is governed by a Board consisting of
a President, Deputy President, Vice-President, immediate Past-President
and eight other Board members. Services to members are delivered by a
number of mechanisms. All members resident in New Zealand are automatically
a member of a geographic Branch which provide
programmes of activities and services in their local region. Members overseas
and in the United Kingdom have a Branch based in London. Members may then
select to join one or more Technical Groups
which provide on a national basis programmes of activities and services
associated with a particular engineering specialty or discipline. They
may also choose to join a Special
Interest Group which also operates on a national basis, providing
services of interest to a particular cross-section of the membership.
IPENZ also operates collaboratively with kindred
bodies, both within New Zealand and overseas where agreements
create benefit to the members of both organisations. Key people in the organisation, and associated delivery mechanisms include the Board and staff, plus the office-bearers of each of the Branches, Technical Groups and Special Interest Groups. There are also others who serve on a variety of specialist panels and committees. |
